외국인 학생 입학 관련 사칭 이메일 및 유학원 주의 안내/Notice on Fraudulent Emails and Agencies Related to International Student Admissions
최근 세종대학교의 외국인 학생 입학 업무와 관련하여 본교를 사칭하는 사례가 발생하고 있어 학생 여러분의 피해를 예방하고자 긴급하게 안내드립니다.
특정 국가의 모 유학원 및 개인이 우리 대학의 공식 이메일 주소와 유사한 가짜 이메일 주소를 사용하여 입학 지원자들에게 다음과 같은 허위 내용을 안내한 사실이 확인되었습니다.
• 가짜 이메일을 통해 '면접 일정', '입학 신청 절차' 등을 임의로 안내
• 본교를 사칭하며 금전적인 요구 또는 불필요한 개인 정보를 요구
세종대학교는 이번 사안을 중대한 문제로 인식하고 있으며, 유사 피해가 재발하지 않도록 관련 기관과 협조하여 신속한 대응에 나서고 있습니다.

3. 금전 요구 주의:
우리 대학은 입학 전형과 관련하여 공식적인 원서 접수료 즉 전형료 외에 별도의 '수수료' 명목으로 개인에게 금전을 요구하지 않습니다. 만약 면접료, 보증금 등 명목으로 입금을 요구하는 이메일이나 안내를 받으셨다면 즉시 사기임을 의심하시고 응하지 마십시오.

Recently, there have been cases of impersonation involving Sejong University’s international student admissions.
This urgent notice aims to prevent potential harm or confusion among applicants.
It has been confirmed that certain education agencies and individuals in specific countries have used fake email addresses resembling Sejong University’s official ones to mislead applicants with false information such as the following:
• Sending fake notifications about “interview schedules” or “application procedures”
• Posing as Sejong University and requesting money transfers or unnecessary personal information.
Sejong University regards this matter as a serious issue and is taking immediate action in cooperation with relevant authorities to prevent further damage.
To ensure the safe and accurate processing of your application, we would like to emphasize the following important points:
1. Verify Official Email Addresses

Notifications from individuals or private agencies are not part of Sejong University’s official process.
3. Beware of Monetary Requests
Sejong University never demands any additional fees from applicants other than the official application fee.
If you receive any email or message requesting payments for “interview fees,” “security deposits,” or any other reason, please treat it as fraud and do not respond.
