Sejong University Signs MOU with the Foundation for Convergence Science and Culture

On June 18 at 3:00 p.m., Sejong University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Foundation for Convergence Science and Culture at the small conference room on the 10th floor of Jiphyeon Hall.
The Foundation for Convergence Science and Culture promotes the cultivation of young scientific talent and the advancement of science culture both domestically and internationally. Through academic research and volunteer-based education initiatives, the foundation engages in a wide range of projects including hosting and supporting forums and seminars, providing educational donations, supporting youth club organizations, overseas training programs, and global education cooperation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Sejong University President Um Jong-hwa, Vice President for External Affairs Hong Sung-kyung, Professor Shin Hyang-sook from the Graduate School of Public Policy, as well as Foundation Chairman Shin Ki-hyun, Executive Director Kim Man-jae, and Director Yang Hyo-sook.
The agreement aims to promote and expand the culture of convergence science and technology through domestic and international exchanges. Both institutions will collaborate in various areas, including:
Academic exchanges and joint research projects,
Co-hosting events and program initiatives.
In particular, the two parties plan to increase public engagement and interest in science and technology by expanding accessible convergence science content for youth and the general public.
The Office of External Affairs at Sejong University stated, “This agreement is expected to expand the domestic and international network in convergence science culture and strengthen research and educational capacity in the related fields.”
