Sejong University, ‘2025 Sejong Festival: Beyond the Receiver’ Successfully Completed
Sejong University successfully wrapped up its festival “2025 Sejong Banquet: Beyond the Receiver” held from May 14 to 16.
This year’s festival was rebranded from the traditional “Daedongje” to “Sejong ,” with students participating in all stages of the process—from idea submission to voting and final selection. The name “Sejong Banquet” conveys the meaning of “a celebration where everyone gathers and enjoys together, and a moment of unity that happens once a year.” The subtitle “Beyond the Receiver” symbolizes “special memories shared with diverse connections” and “warm bonds among members of the Sejong community.”
During the festival, booths were operated by each college, department, student group, and club. A wide variety of interactive content was offered, including: △ Busking performances △ Slow mailbox △ Glampic photo zone △ Food trucks △ Flea market △ “Seorin-ga King” singing contest △ Individual, team, and central club performances △ Live performances by guest artists
In particular, the artist performances—featuring popular acts such as NMIXX, Jannabi, and ZICO—received enthusiastic responses from students.
Kim Beopgyun (Department of Software-19), a participating student, shared: “This was my last festival as a student, and I found it refreshing to experience a variety of booths that aren’t usually accessible. The casino and cocktail bar run by the Hotel & Tourism student group were especially impressive—on par with professional quality.”
Kim Jongseung (Department of Business Administration-20), President of the Student Council, stated: “We worked hard to provide a variety of content and attractions, and I hope that effort was felt by our fellow students. Although some events were unfortunately canceled due to heavy rain on the last day, we will continue to do our best to support students’ campus life through diverse events and programs.”
