Sejong University Selected for the ‘2025–2026 University Support Program for Enhancing High School Education’

Sejong University has been selected for the “2025–2026 University Support Program for Enhancing High School Education.” As a result, the university will carry out key initiatives over the next two years to strengthen the connection between high school and university education, and to improve responsibility and fairness in the university admissions process.
A total of 105 universities applied for the program, and after evaluation and review by the General Steering Committee, 92 universities were ultimately selected.
This year, approximately KRW 53.8 billion will be allocated for the core initiatives, and Sejong University will receive KRW 580 million in funding.
The University Support Program for Enhancing High School Education is a flagship funding initiative by the Ministry of Education, with a total investment of KRW 58.5 billion. Its goals are to ensure fairness and transparency in the admissions process, rebuild public trust in university admissions, and ease the burden on students by strengthening the alignment between high school curricula and university entrance systems.
Sejong University was selected for the program due to its excellent performance across various evaluation areas, including fairness assurance, professional development, support activities for high school education, implementation of admissions systems that reflect high school education, reduction of private education costs, promotion of social integration and balanced development, budget management, and the development of leading models.
