Sejong University Participates in 2026 University Admission Information Fair

Sejong University took part in the 2026 University Admission Information Fair, held from July 24 to 26 at Hall A of COEX, Samseong-dong.
Organized by the Korean Council for University Education, the fair featured 152 universities nationwide, providing practical and detailed college admission information to prospective students and their parents.
At the event, Sejong University offered one-on-one customized admission consultations and used a mobile queue management system to ensure smooth counseling sessions. High interest among attendees led to consultations being fully booked in advance.
For the 2026 early admission cycle, Sejong University will recruit a total of 1,791 students, an increase of 174 from last year. This includes:

445 for the Academic Record Screening (students’ GPA)

870 for the Comprehensive Student Record Screening

344 for the Essay Screening

132 for Practical/Performance Screening
A notable feature of this year’s admissions is the establishment of two new departments: Quantum Intelligence Information Engineering and Defense AI & Robotics Convergence Engineering. Additionally, some existing departments were renamed:

Global Culinary Studies → Culinary Service Management

Earth Resources Systems Engineering → Energy Resources Engineering

Defense Systems Engineering → Defense AI Convergence Systems Engineering
Sejong University is now the third-largest university in Korea in terms of advanced technology department admissions, emphasizing the cultivation of talent to lead future industries. The Quantum Intelligence Information Engineering Department focuses on cutting-edge technologies like AI and quantum information, training specialists capable of responding to rapidly evolving tech environments.
The early admission application period runs from September 9 to September 12, 2025, with initial results announced after 5:00 PM on December 12, 2025.
Nur Ari Jang Chung-hee, a student in Hotel & Tourism Management (Class of 2023) who participated in the fair, said:
