Sejong University Holds Agreement Ceremony with Daegu Technopark

On August 7, Sejong University held an agreement ceremony with Daegu Technopark in the small conference room on the 10th floor of Jiphyeon Hall to strengthen mutual exchange and cooperation.
This agreement was established to build a cooperative system between the two institutions for the discovery of joint policy projects and the implementation of cooperative projects centered on the field of artificial intelligence (AI), co-hosting academic events, and enhancing regional industrial competitiveness.
Attending the ceremony were Sejong University President Um Jong-hwa, Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence Convergence Han Dong-il, Director of External Affairs Lee Choong-hoon, Director of Public Relations Kim Dae-jong, as well as Daegu Technopark President Kim Han-sik, Director Yoon Jung-eun, Team Leader Kim Ryoon-hong, Senior Researcher Lee Hyo-jin, and Principal Researcher Kim Jae-kyu, making a total of nine participants from the two institutions.
Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to strengthen the connection between talent development and industry by discovering joint research and business opportunities based on AI technology, while promoting mutual growth of both the region and the industry.
Sejong University President Um Jong-hwa stated, “It is very meaningful for Sejong University, which is nurturing talent in advanced science and AI, to collaborate with an institution that leads scientific and technological development in the Daegu region. I hope that this agreement will serve as a foundation for both institutions to contribute to the advancement of AI and the revitalization of the regional economy.”
Daegu Technopark President Kim Han-sik remarked, “I am very pleased to sign this agreement with Sejong University’s Institute of Artificial Intelligence Convergence. I look forward to achieving tangible outcomes together, overcoming regional limitations through practical cooperation.”
